Van der Gang Watches takes The Vlieger to new heights

Van der Gang Watches launches a new flagship within their Vlieger family. The Vlieger Satiné, based on our award-winning design celebrates five years of Vlieger by bringing it to new heights. This latest introduction (Ref. 20045GW-T) within the family has an 18k matte golden watch case which has been treated by hand. Giving this watch it’s silk-like appearance.

“The pursuit of excellence”. – This is what drives Wybe Van der Gang when designing and developing his watches, and it shows. Our 20045GW-T symbolises the perfect fusion of design, color and use of materials. The 18k red golden watch case has a stunning weight of over 68 grams. The case is then finished by hand giving it its matte effect. This very precise and time-consuming handling of the golden case results in an almost silk-like glow, which gives the Vlieger Satiné its unique sporty look and feel.

The very precisely crafted golden case (41 mm) merges effortlessly with the 2.6 mm thick sapphire glass, giving the watch its imposing stature. Additionally, the matte effect develops a special patina over time. The luxurious ostrich leather strap and ‘Royal Orange’ pusher at 8 o’clock bring the design to a whole.

This top-of-the-line version of the Vlieger has a matte lacquered white dial with bright Luminova numbers and hands. Combined with the golden case it feels rather fresh and playful.

On its dial you’ll find a second time-zone with an AM/PM-indicator at 12 o’clock, a big date and the chronograph functions. This movement is an ETA 7751 converted in-house, into an ETA 7753, with additional in-house developed complications and a 48-hour power reserve.

The color scheme of the Vlieger Satiné displays understated elegance at its finest. The immense 18k golden case impresses but feels subtle and modest nonetheless due to its matte finish. With its fresh colors complement each other giving the watch a unique character.
